ABSTRAK
The research at Dr. Hasan Sadikin Bandung General Hospital by Munawar in 2011 showed that the acceptability of soft foods in class 3 patients was only 68.8% .4 In the 2012 results of the Christoperative study at Gatot Soebroto Hospital, 58.5% of respondents have less acceptance. The average receptivity of soft foods of respondents in one day was 72.4% .5 in YA Thesis, Anita. The results of Aziz's 2012 study in Arosuka District Hospital, Solok Regency, showed good acceptance of 53.3% in patients who received soft food. Based on the preliminary survey, it was found that the average percentage of new soft foods received 65.23%, 62.45% for staple foods, 69.2% animal side dishes, 61.2% vegetable side dishes, 53.2% vegetables and 80.1% fruits. %. This study aims to determine the description of patients' assessment of the taste and acceptability of soft foods in inpatients within the Pasaman Barat Hospital in 2019.
This research was conducted from December 2018-June 2019 at West Pasaman Hospital. This research is descriptive by means of research sampling, namely Non-Probability Sampling with Accidental Sampling, obtained a sample of 30 people. Data collection is done using a questionnaire. The data analysis used is univariate analysis.
The results of the study show that the average percentage of the acceptance of soft foods is 60.79% with the percentage of respondents in the category of less than 70% and the good category only by 30%. The percentage of patients' assessment of food appearance was 73.3% with categories of dislike and 26.7% with categories of likes. Percentage of assessment of patients on food taste 60% with categories of dislike and 40% with categories of likes. The percentage of patients' assessment of the taste of food is still 83.4% with the category of less satisfied and only 16.6% said they were satisfied.
It is expected that the nutritional installation of West Pasaman Hospital can improve the taste of food served so that the patient's food intake can increase.
