ABSTRACT
Drinking water is water that goes through a process that meets health requirements and can be drunk directly. The fulfillment of community drinking water needs varies, one of which is that people consume bottled water (bottled water), because it is considered practical and more hygienic. However, because the price of bottled water is expensive, the public is looking for another alternative, which is to switch to drinking water produced by the Drinking Water Depot (DAM). The purpose of this study was to determine sanitation hygiene in DAM in terms of aspects of place, equipment, and handlers, as well as the physical quality of raw water sources.
This research is descriptive in that it describes the sanitation of drinking water depots in the work area of Lubuk Sikaping Health Center in Pasaman Regency during December 2018-May 2019. The population in this study was 8 depots of drinking water. Primary data was obtained from observation to the field using a checklist table and secondary data from the Lubuk Sikaping Health Center.
The results of the study were that drinking water depots in the work area of Lubuk Sikaping Health Center from Hygiene Sanitation where 100% had fulfilled the requirements, from Hygiene Sanitation Equipment 100% had fulfilled the requirements, from Sanitation Hygiene Guidance 100% had fulfilled the requirements, and from the physical quality of raw water sources 100% has fulfilled the requirements. Then seen from all aspects of hygiene sanitation 100% of the drinking water depot has met the requirements.
According to the results of the study, it was explained that Sanitation Drinking Water Depot Hygiene had fulfilled the requirements but there were still some who did not meet the requirements. Therefore, the Drinking Water Depot is more concerned with its DAM sanitation hygiene.
