ABSTRACT
The larval density of Aedes aegypti is the amount of Aedes aegypti larvae that exist in containers inside or outside the house. Mosquito breeding sites are the most important part of the mosquito life cycle because through this breeding site the viability of mosquitoes can take place normally. Theoretically Aedes aegypti mosquitoes do not like laying eggs with water that is directly related to soil or dirty water. Aedes aegypti is in places filled with clean water.
This research is a descriptive study that aims to describe or describe the events that occur with a survey approach for Aedes aegypti Mosquito Larva Density in RW 10 Kuranji Sub-District, Kuranji District, Padang City in 2019.
The results of this study show HI numbers = 67.9%, CI = 51.7%, BI = 206.7, ABJ = 32.0%. From these values show in RW 10 Kuranji Sub-District, Kuranji District, Padang City has DF 7-9 is a high density.
The community is expected to be able to maintain environmental cleanliness, especially paying attention to the condition of container water reservoirs (TPA) such as draining a bath once a week or non-landfill which can become a breeding place for Aedes aegypti mosquitoes. And it is expected that health workers at the puskesmas will provide regular counseling on eradicating the nest of Aedes aegypti mosquitoes.
