Factors Relating to Visiting Toddlers to Posyandu in Cimpu Village Surantih Health Center Working Area in South Coastal District 2019

ABSTRACT

The coverage of weighing toddlers in Indonesia from 2010 to 2014 shows a number that tends to increase. In 2010 the figure was 67.9% and continued to increase until 2014, which was as much as 80.8%. However, in 2015 there was a decline to 73.0%. The low visit of children under five is still far from the Renstra's target of 85%. This will have an impact on the growth of children under five. This study aims to determine the factors related to toddler visits to Posyandu in Cimpu Village, Surantih Health Center, South Coastal District in 2019.

This type of research is analytical with a cross sectional design study conducted in Cimpu Village, Surantih Community Health Center Working Area, South Coastal District in September 2018-June 2019. The population of all mothers with toddlers has 83 people. All populations are subject to research. Data collection using a questionnaire. Then the data is processed and analyzed by univariate and bivariate using the Chi-Square test with significance α = 0,05.

The results showed that 57,8% of toddlers were not actively visiting Posyandu, 51,8% of toddlers had a negative attitude, 62,7% of mothers were unemployed, 53,0% of mothers said the role of cadres was not good for toddlers' posyandu, 54,2% of poor family support for toddlers' posyandu.
