ABSTRACT
Teler ice is one type of ice that is much in demand by consumers and is often consumed during the day, with a variety of flavors, cheap and easy to obtain. Besides having these advantages, it turns out that the ice teler has the risk of not wearing an apron, not washing hands before and after contact to food, and having long and dirty nails, so that the problem can cause contamination by microbes due to lack of personal hygiene of teler ice hands. The purpose of this study is to determine the cleanliness of personal hygiene of beverage handlers on ice teler sold by street vendors in Nanggalo District.

This study illustrates a descriptive description of the personal hygiene of beverage handlers on ice teler sold by street vendors in Nanggalo District, Padang City in 2019. The time and place of this research was conducted in February-June 2019. Subjects in this study were ice drink handlers teler, which is sold by street vendors scattered in the Nanggalo Subdistrict, Padang City, which collected 14 handlers at 7 street vendors in Nanggalo District. The technique of collecting data is the primary data data obtained directly by the researcher by observing using a checklist. Research instrument is a checklist table.

Based on the results of research on personal hygiene, ice drink handlers were observed by personal hygiene, the results of the personal hygiene category were poor. 71.4% of the 14 lecturers in the Nanggalo sub-district had been studied. and Based on the results of research on the processing of ice teler drinks carried out observations on the processing of ice teler, in poor results of 71.4% of the seven street vendors in Nanggalo District.

Suggestions from researchers It is recommended that health workers, especially in the field of food and beverages, do not cause damage or pollution so as not to harm those who consume food and drinks. And handlers of ice teler drinks must improve the personal hygiene of beverage handlers so that the ice that is served is protected from germs or bacteria that can cause disease.
